Saera Electric Auto Pvt Ltd has started manufacturing at its Bawal plant in Haryana . The company acquired the plant from American cult bike manufacturer Harley Davidson .
Saera Electric Auto Pvt Ltd (SEAPL), a New Delhi-based hybrid vehicle manufacturer, has started manufacturing at its Bawal plant in Haryana, which it has acquired from American cult bike manufacturer Harley Davidson.According to a statement issued by SEAPL, the company, which first introduced the Mayuri model, will produce e-rickshaws and e-carts at the plant that spans five acres and has invested over Rs 350 crore.In a statement, SEAPL Managing Director Nitin Kapoor said that our new plant in Bawal, in addition to our existing plant in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, will continue to improve our manufacturing capacity, catering to the country’s growing need for greener transportation.According to him, the new plant can produce two lakh units of electric two-wheelers and 36,000 units of electric three-wheelers per year.
The company also agreed to work with LML Electric to create the latter’s electric two-wheelers at its Bawal plant earlier this year.
